Cachd uses Google OAuth for sign-in, so there’s no password to create, remember, or reset. Every time you access your library, you authenticate through your existing Google account — keeping things simple and secure from day one.

How to sign in

Go to cachd.app

Visit https://cachd.app and click the Sign In button in the top navigation.

Continue with Google

Click Continue with Google on the sign-in screen.

Choose your Google account

Select the Google account you want to use from the account picker. If you only have one account signed in to your browser, it may be selected automatically.

Access your library

You’re in. Your Cachd library loads immediately — all your bookmarks, collections, and saved content are ready to go.

Why Google sign-in?

Cachd relies on Google OAuth rather than a native username-and-password system for a few deliberate reasons:
  • No weak passwords. You never have to create a Cachd-specific password that could be reused or guessed.
  • Google’s security infrastructure. Your sign-in is protected by Google’s own authentication stack, including two-factor authentication if you have it enabled on your Google account.
  • Accounts you already use. Most people already have a Google account they trust. Sign-in takes seconds without any new credentials to manage.

Multiple sessions

You can be signed in to Cachd on as many devices as you need at the same time — your laptop, phone, and tablet can all have active sessions simultaneously. Each session is tracked independently, so signing out on one device does not affect the others.

Signing out

To sign out of Cachd on a device:
  1. Open Settings from the navigation menu.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Click Sign Out.
Your data remains intact in your library. The next time you visit Cachd on that device, simply sign in again with Google.

Troubleshooting

A few things to check if Google sign-in isn’t working:
  • Make sure you’re using a supported Google account. Personal Gmail accounts and Google Workspace accounts both work.
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily. Ad blockers, privacy extensions, or script blockers can sometimes interfere with the OAuth flow. Try disabling them and refreshing the page.
  • Try an incognito or private window. This rules out cached cookies or conflicting sessions as the cause.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact Cachd support from https://cachd.app.
Sessions expire periodically as a security measure. This is expected behavior — it ensures that an unattended device or browser tab can’t remain permanently signed in.To resume, simply visit https://cachd.app and sign in again with Google. Your library and data are exactly as you left them.
Cachd ties your library to the Google account you used when you first signed up. To switch accounts:
  1. Sign out of Cachd from Settings > Account > Sign Out.
  2. Return to the sign-in screen and click Continue with Google.
  3. Choose the different Google account from the picker.
Note that a different Google account will have its own separate Cachd library. Your bookmarks and collections are not shared between accounts.
Cachd does not support native email/password login. Google sign-in is the only supported authentication method.
