Your data belongs to you. Cachd lets you export or share your collections at any time — whether you want a portable backup, need to migrate your bookmarks somewhere else, or simply want to send a curated list to someone else.

Exporting a collection

You can export any individual collection as a standalone file directly from the collection view.
1

Open the collection

Navigate to the collection you want to export from your Cachd library.
2

Open the collection menu

Click the three-dot menu (⋯) or options icon in the collection header to open the available actions.
3

Select Export

Choose Export from the menu.
4

Choose your format

Select the export format that works best for your use case. Available options include:
  • JSON — structured data, ideal for importing into other tools or apps
  • CSV — tabular format, easy to open in spreadsheets
  • Bookmark HTML — standard browser bookmark format, compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and most other browsers
5

Download the file

Click Download. The file saves to your device and is ready to use immediately.

Sharing a collection

Cachd lets you generate a shareable link for any collection so you can share it publicly without requiring the recipient to have a Cachd account. To generate a share link:
  1. Open the collection you want to share.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) or options icon.
  3. Select Share or Copy link.
  4. Copy the link and send it to whoever you’d like.
Anyone with the link can view the collection in a read-only format. They can browse your bookmarks without signing up or signing in to Cachd. To stop sharing a collection, return to the collection menu and select Revoke link. The link becomes inactive immediately — anyone who visits the old URL will no longer be able to access the collection.

Exporting your full library

If you want a complete copy of everything in your Cachd account, you can request a full library export:
  1. Go to Settings in Cachd.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Click Export Data.
Cachd will prepare a full export of your library — all collections, bookmarks, tags, and metadata — and make it available for download. This is useful for backups or if you ever decide to move to a different tool.
Use shared collection links to distribute a curated reading list, research stack, or inspiration board with your team or audience — no Cachd account required on their end.
Exported data is a snapshot at the time of export. It does not stay in sync with your Cachd library — if you add or remove bookmarks after exporting, you’ll need to export again to capture the latest state.
