How Smart Collections work
When you save something, Cache’s AI analyzes the full content of the page — not just the title or URL. It looks at the subject matter, the format, the tone, and how it relates to everything else in your Library. Within moments, each save is routed to the most appropriate Smart Collection. You don’t need to create tags, define rules, or train the system. Cache learns the shape of your Library from the content itself and refines its groupings over time as you add more saves. If you ever disagree with where something landed, you can move it manually and Cache will factor that signal into future sorting.Types of collections
Cache’s AI distinguishes between two broad modes of content — actionable and inspirational — and builds collections around them accordingly:
Within those modes, Smart Collections get more specific. You might find Cache has created a “CSS Techniques” collection from your frontend saves, a “Business Strategy” collection from your long-reads, or a “Recipes to Make” collection from your food bookmarks — without you ever defining those categories yourself.
Sharing and exporting
Every Smart Collection — and any manual collection you create — can be shared or exported at any time.- Share a link. Open the collection menu (the
···icon on any collection) and choose Share. Cache generates a public link that anyone can view, even without a Cache account. - Export. Choose Export from the same menu to download your collection as a structured file. Exports are useful for backing up research, handing references off to a collaborator, or moving content into another tool.
Creating a collection manually
Smart Collections handle most of the organizing automatically, but you can also build collections by hand whenever you want to curate something specific — a project brief, a reading list for a trip, or a reference set for a client.1
Open your Library
Navigate to your Library from the left sidebar. Make sure you’re on the main feed view, not inside an existing collection.
2
Click New Collection
Select the New Collection button in the top-right corner of the Library. A creation panel will slide open.
3
Name your collection and add a description
Give your collection a clear, memorable name. Optionally add a short description — this helps Cache understand the collection’s purpose and improves how it routes future saves into it.
4
Add saves
Browse your feed to find content you want to include and click Add to Collection, or use the search bar inside the collection panel to find specific saves by keyword, source, or tag.
5
Share or export
Once your collection is ready, open the collection menu (
···) to grab a shareable link or export the contents — no extra steps required.
